Wildling Shoes x B Corp
Certified For A Better Future
As a B Corp-certified company, Wildling Shoes is part of an international network of companies that have incorporated purpose-driven business practices and anchored high standards and strong values in their corporate policies.
This certification doesn't refer to individual products, but to the organization as a whole: Is every area of work designed to advance environmental and social justice?
Fair manufacturing conditions, ecological and innovative materials, renaturation projects, and New Work are the foundation from which Wildling Shoes works to be regenerative at all levels – and to evolve continually in the process.
Together with other international companies that serve as global role models, including Patagonia, Ecosia, and Ben & Jerry’s, we seek to learn from and with each other and to contribute, as a global movement, to the advancement of an ecological-social transformation.
B Corp – Business as a force for good
The global B Corp movement originated in the US and seeks to make our planet a better place.
B Corp is a certification for ecological and social business practices – and at the same time it is the epicenter of a global movement of companies that have made it their mission to use their business model as a means to transform the economic system.
In keeping with its motto “Using business as a force for good!”, the movement seeks to change the system for the better from the inside out.
B Corp certification shines a light on every aspect of the company and is based on five pillars: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
“We treat our social and environmental impact as a primary measure of success for our business and prioritize it even in cases where it may not drive profitability.”
Development opportunities and empowerment:
“We support the development of personal strengths, autonomous working practices, and work arrangements that fit the individual's personal circumstances.”
Looking beyond our own nose:
“We support positive social developments within the team and beyond: by pursuing a diversity policy, through philanthropic engagement, and with a Code of Conduct that requires our suppliers to act in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.”
Environmental protection is built into the product:
“We design our products and our company processes to be resource-efficient and regenerative – for example, by utilizing raw materials that would otherwise end up in the landfill, like the wonderful Nordwolle.”
“We ensure regular quality inspections both at Wildling Shoes itself as well as at the suppliers, and we offer a warranty and a guarantee for all our products.”
