Life is about change. The seasons, which are forever changing, make that abundantly clear, but every so often we discover something new about ourselves as well. Comfortable routines and cherished pastimes, bumps, bruises, and laugh lines are just a few of the traces that life leaves behind and that serve to narrate our own unique story.
And that’s exactly what the new Autumn/Winter collection aims to do – to celebrate change and to take a look at the images of impressions and memories etched by life every single day. Which is why the Product Team has even included a little message stashed away among the new models, one that alludes to that very thing: Mudança, the Portuguese word for change.
But first, let's have a closer look at the new pack members…
Models with hemp-flax fleece lining
The Panther model is available from sizes EU 23 to 48
With its distinctive denim look, Panther is a Wildling that will change its appearance over time, recounting your shared adventures along the way. The selvage edges of the upper are deliberately left unfinished on this model, gradually creating a fringe – but only as far as the double seam that secures it into place. With its 100% organic cotton upper and insulating hemp-flax fleece lining, this high cut will keep feet in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48 feeling warm and toasty, all without using any animal-derived materials.
The Wapiti model is available from sizes EU 23 to 48, and Caribou comes in sizes EU 18 to 22
Wapiti and Caribou give the autumn foliage some serious competition. And there’s something special about them: Thanks to the natural coloration process, the hue of these models tends to fade slightly, lending them a vintage look. Wapiti is available in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48 and Caribou caters to the little ones from sizes EU 18 to 22.
The Elderberry model runs from sizes EU 23 to 48
With its burgundy upper made from certified organically grown cotton, the Elderberry brings a pop of fall color – and so much more. With its cuddly-cozy lining, this model will keep feet in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48 feeling toasty warm on those chilly days. Elderberry’s vintage lived-in look also recounts stories of our adventures together, and because of its natural coloring, its rich berry hue will become a bit paler over time.
Models with woolen lining
The Fir model comes in sizes EU 23 to 48, and Little Fir is available in sizes EU 18 to 22
Lush and green like a wintry mountain forest, Fir and Little Fir are our faithful companions for the chilly days ahead. Their recycled cotton upper protects your feet from the outside, while the inner lining made from Nordwolle’s felted wool loden delivers comfortable warmth. Fir comes in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48, and Little Fir sizes range from EU 18 to 22.
The Grizzly model comes in sizes EU 23 to 48
The Grizzly is every bit as robust and cuddly warm as its namesake. Featuring wool throughout the entire shoe – virgin wool from certified organic husbandry on the outside, and felted wool loden from Nordwolle on the inside – this mid cut provides a pleasant environment for your feet, even on cold days. Grizzly is available from sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48.
The Blackbird model runs from sizes EU 36 to 48
A low cut for winter? You bet! This midnight black all-rounder goes by the melodious name Blackbird and is made from 100% recycled cotton. Inside, Blackbird is equipped with a thermal lining made from Nordwolle’s felted wool loden, which keeps feet from sizes EU 36 to 48 pleasantly warm and comfy.
The Astron model is available from sizes EU 36 to 48
The Astron stands apart from the rest thanks to its salt-and-pepper upper in shades of dark blue and cinnamon. It’s also this season’s highest cut Wildling, featuring an upper of virgin wool from certified organic husbandry and a lining of felted wool loden to keep the cold at bay. Available in sizes EU 36 to 48.
Limited Models
The Mudança model is available from sizes EU 23 to 48
Mudança. There it is again, that word. And Team Wildling found it so beautiful and so befitting that they not only proclaimed it to be the theme of the entire collection, they also named one of the models after it. Because if anyone exemplifies change and transformation, it’s this polar white mid cut made from a blend of cotton and hemp that’s moving into the online shop as a limited edition. As an unlined model, Mudança is particularly suitable for the less extreme transition period between seasons, and joins us in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48.
The Barn Owl model is available from sizes EU 36 to 48
If you like things a little warmer, you’re well advised to consider Barn Owl. On the outside, it’s made from 100% organic virgin wool in a canvas weave, and its interior lining made from Nordwolle’s felted wool loden beckons you to snuggle right in. This beige mid cut is available in sizes EU 36 to 48.
Recurring Basics
Flying Foy returns to the shop again this season as an Autumn/Winter Basic in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48. It’s joined by three additional recurring models: Marten, a year-round Basic, and North Wolf and Akita, both Winter Basics.
The Marten model is available from sizes EU 23 to 48
With Marten on our side, we’re well equipped for the damp and chilly autumn weather. It features a durable recycled cotton upper, and its special membrane construction includes dust flaps to protect feet in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48 against the season’s wet conditions.
The North Wolf and Akita models are available from sizes EU 23 to 48 and 18 to 22
With the addition of North Wolf and Akita, the Wildling Winter Basics are joined by a warming high cut sporting a black herringbone pattern, as well as a high cut model for the little ones, too. The upper made of 100% virgin wool as well as the interior lining made from felted wool loden come from our partner Nordwolle and guarantee comfortably warm feet – even on those colder days. North Wolf is available in sizes EU 23 to 35 and 36 to 48, and Akita ranges from sizes EU 18 to 22.
The socks to match
Hawk Moth socks come in sizes EU 21 to 50
Hawk Moth will add that extra layer of warmth to your favorite Winter Wildling shoes this season. This anatomically shaped sock with its medium-high shaft is modeled after the natural shape of the foot, and because it includes merino wool, Hawk Moth maintains a pleasant environment for your feet – all day, every day. Hawk Moth is available in the shop in sizes EU 21 to 50.
When will the new collection be available?
Blackbird, Caribou, Marten, Mudança, Panther, Fir, Wapiti, and Little Fir are moving into the Wildling shop on September 4. They are accompanied by the Basic model Flying Fox.
Beginning September 25, the Akita, Astron, Elderberry, Grizzly, North Wolf, and Barn Owl models will follow.

Special greeting
Some of you may have already come across a motif-based postcard in your recent Wildling order. Right now, in keeping with the new season, every purchase comes with a card featuring motifs from the current collection shoot.
What makes the cards so special is that they come with a little banner that contains quick links with information on how to care for your new Wildling shoes, as well as how to return them. When unfolded, it can then be converted into a bookmark. The cards themselves have no writing on the back because, if we give it some thought, we probably all know someone special who would welcome a handwritten message, right? So let’s get back to writing again! Stamps and snail mail and all.
