Swans have been firing up people's imaginations for centuries.
And that’s hardly surprising - seeing how majestic and graceful they are, you can’t help but expect them to cast a spell. A lot of fairy tales have been written about swans - “The Six Swans” by the Brothers Grimm and “The Wild Swans” by Hans Christian Andersen are 2 very well-known examples.
And of course “The Ugly Duckling”, who is by no means ugly, but can’t be his wonderful self as a cygnet among ducks.
The swan model finds its place among both individualists and purists: its white coat is so beautiful by itself that that you could even put it with a wedding dress.
But the plain canvas is also an amazing opportunity for those who seek that one special customised model. And the options and variations are endless.
It was and still is amazing to see the huge range of different ideas and colour combinations, thanks to the creativity of all the Wildlings out there.
Here you can have a taste of some remarkable examples of how the simple swan came to be more than he’d ever wished for. The swan is also the perfect choice for anyone who loves colour and individuality, as you can see in the photos from the community. If you’re looking for inspiration, here are some examples. But don’t blame us if you need to buy some more swans in order to live out your creativity!
In the Wildling fan group on Facebook, folks show… dyeing Wildlings in the washing machine, but we can’t guarantee the results of any experiments with colour. If dyeing with textile colours, we recommend dyeing in a bucket, not in the machine.
Here you can see a little selection of former swans, now transformed into frogs, butterflies, parrots and rainbows:
